I'm Jayme Cochrane, a Product Designer and Developer with a focus on interaction design, concept development, prototyping, and strategic planning. My expertise lies in the 0→1 approach, guiding projects from concept ideation into user-tested products.

Over a 15 year career, I’ve created impactful products for multinational corporations, non-profits, B Corporations, and universities. I've founded three companies (2 studios, 1 startup), and have experience leading, mentoring, and growing product teams.

A SaaS tool for legal innovation, allowing law firms to move away from traditional hourly billing. As design lead, I owned all design and front-end development, from initial MVP to a full-featured, growing app.

A new feature walkthrough, prototyped and user-tested in Figma before refinement and implementation.

Design system elements - created & maintained in Figma, implemented 1:1 in the codebase

Tesla

A purpose-driven app concept for Tesla's European social media marketing team, focused on balancing people, profits, and planet. A collaboration with IOVIA.

Episource

Led product design and front-end development on a suite of healthcare analytics solutions. I implemented a complete UX overhaul and UI redesign for their three core products. Design lead on bringing a new app concept to market. Massive improvements in usability, Page Speed scores, and customer satisfaction.

Complete walkthrough of a new feature build for the EpiEncounter app, ready to be integrated by the backend team.

Final UX screens for the initial design language overhaul on Episource's apps. I would eventually build the entire front-end as a static HTML "app", using placeholder data.

Rival Technologies

Built and integrated a UX/UI overhaul for Rival's flagship conversational insights app. New layout, design, and components were created. Final result included improved product demos for the sales team, and an uptick in app usage.

Revamped UI and UX on Rival's internal testing platform. A huge upgrade from their previous default Material Design implementation.

I’ve had the pleasure of working on a variety of fascinating projects through my career:

Received $1M+ funding from the Canadian Media Fund, assembled a product team and brought Flow to life.
Led design workshops for the Family Justice Innovation Lab to strategize affecting change and improving the well-being of youth in the family justice system.
Produced a series of iOS concept apps for SAP to showcase new capabilities to their client partners.
Built the online research platform for the University of Toronto’s Institute of Islamic Studies.
Branded, designed and prototyped an internal social platform for Ford Models.
Grew The Alinker’s e-commerce platform, building new features and expanding into new countries.
